Assistant Room Service Manager - In Room Dining

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton Dubai is looking for an Assistant Room Service Manager, an entry-level management position responsible for the day-to-day operations of room service. The role directs, trains and supports staff in delivering food and beverage to guestrooms and hospitality suites, helps maintain guest and employee satisfaction and the operating budget, and strengthens the food and beverage team by helping other outlets when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with room service policies, standards and procedures, and supervise daily shift operations.
• Help handle hospitality suites and group sales, and deliver amenity packages and VIP gifts.
• Provide direction to staff on selling and serving in-room dining, set performance expectations and give feedback on service behaviour.
• Supervise staffing levels so that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met, and act as Room Service Manager's deputy when absent.
• Use budgets, operating statements and payroll reports to help manage the department and meet or exceed budgeted goals.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback, handle complaints and seek supervisor support when needed.
• Take part in hiring, use the Labor Management System to schedule staff and track time and attendance, and supervise ongoing training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year accredited university degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related area, or 2 years with a degree.
