Barback, Netsu Bar

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, is looking for a Barback to join its Netsu Bar team. The role involves preparing the bar for service, organizing and shelving drinks, and supporting the bar's daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and comply with corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures, including the MO Code of Conduct.
• Organize and shelf beverages before the bar opens.
• Prepare juices, other mixes and garnishes needed for the operation.
• Monitor the stations and re-stock items as needed.
• Wipe glassware, utensils and equipment.
• Protect guest, customer and colleague personal data and confidential hotel information.
• Follow the hotel's Safe, Sound and Sustainable policies, the MO Social Media Policy and the zero-tolerance stance on harassment and discrimination.
• Act as a hotel ambassador, maintain grooming and appearance standards, and carry out additional duties requested by management.

Required profile

• High school qualification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a 5-star luxury hotel environment.
• Knowledge of bar operation is a must.
• Ability to work long hours, handle multiple tasks and support management in motivating and leading a diverse team.
• Verbal and written communication skills in Arabic or other languages are preferred.

Required skills

• Attention to detail and organization.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office, are a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in a hot climate.
