Barista

About the role

Rixos Premium Dubai JBR, a luxury hotel offering Turkish hospitality, is hiring a barista. The role covers preparing and serving drinks, managing the bar counter and supporting the outlet's daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverage orders according to recipes and service standards, and know all bar products and cocktail recipes.
• Upsell to each customer and deliver personalised, efficient and friendly service.
• Prepare mise-en-place, collect general and food and beverage requisitions, and follow opening and closing procedures while checking beverage stock.
• Keep the bar counter and surroundings clean and organised, and monitor operating supplies to reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Handle guest enquiries courteously, build good relationships with guests and perform cashiering duties.
• Display premium liquors properly, keep garnishes ready for all cocktails and train new recruits on the job.
• Perform assigned duties in the Banqueting Department or elsewhere, take part in inventory checks and report for duty on time in the correct uniform.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality.
• 1-2 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
• Ability to read and follow the hotel's Employee Handbook and comply with fire, hygiene, health and safety policies and local legislation.
