Bartender

About the role

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai, a lifestyle hotel in the heart of Dubai, is looking for a passionate, energetic and customer-focused Bartender to join its Food & Beverage team. The role centres on preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining excellent service standards and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional and engaging guest service while upholding Hyatt brand standards.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to recipe and quality standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and recommend beverages, menu items and upselling opportunities.
• Keep the bar and service areas clean, organised, well-stocked and compliant with hygiene, health and safety rules.
• Process orders and payments accurately using the Micros POS system, following cashiering and cash-handling procedures.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, beverage, housekeeping and other departments.
• Assist with inventory management, including stock control, rotation, replenishment and monthly checks.
• Handle guest inquiries and feedback promptly, support special events and follow responsible beverage service practices.
• Take part in training and team meetings, maintain professional appearance and show flexibility to help other departments.

Required profile

• Previous bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, bar or hospitality setting.
• Bartending certification is a plus.
• Good command of spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

Required skills

• Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines and beverages.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast pace.
• Team-oriented approach and good interpersonal skills.
