Brokerage Platform Lead – Trading Systems

About the role

GSS Tech Group is seeking a Brokerage Platform Lead for a leading UAE financial institution operating in the capital markets sector. You will own the client’s trading and brokerage platform across its full lifecycle, ensuring fast, stable, and compliant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the full lifecycle of the brokerage platform, from onboarding through order capture, execution, clearing and settlement.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate trading, risk and compliance systems and drive enhancements in market connectivity.
• Lead platform upgrades, coordinate with vendors, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Champion Agile practices, contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning and release management.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues and maintain high availability and resilience.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience on trading or brokerage platforms.
• Proven exposure to Tradenet or a comparable brokerage platform.
• Strong understanding of front‑to‑back brokerage architecture and institutional equities workflows.
• Experience with market connectivity to regional exchanges such as DFM, ADX and Tadawul.

Required skills

• Order Management Systems (OMS) and FIX protocol.
• Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• RESTful services development.
• Agile delivery tools: JIRA, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
• Kafka for real‑time data streaming (strong advantage).
• Java and/or C++ development; exposure to Node.js and React.
