Business Development Manager

About the role

Artelia, an international engineering, consulting and project management group active in infrastructure, transportation, airports, rail, mobility, buildings, water and energy, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager in Dubai. The role drives sales growth, strengthens client relationships, identifies new opportunities and secures projects in the transportation, aviation, rail, metro and infrastructure sectors, supporting the Business Unit's strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies for assigned accounts and territories, identify new opportunities and secure project wins aligned with the Business Unit's growth strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, engaging regularly with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, assess competitors and share strategic insights with management.
• Work with technical, operational and tendering teams to build winning strategies, establish partnerships and support proposals.
• Support commercial negotiations and contract discussions while protecting company interests.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, workshops and follow-ups, and represent Artelia at conferences, exhibitions and industry events.
• Maintain opportunity and activity records in the CRM system and report progress and forecasts to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, marketing or business development, preferably in infrastructure engineering, design consultancy, EPC or business consulting; airport, rail, metro or transportation experience is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business management from a prominent university.
• Proven track record of growing business and winning projects in targeted markets, with willingness to travel frequently.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• CRM and Microsoft Office experience.
