Buyer – Procurement for EPC Projects

About the role
The Buyer will manage procurement activities for assigned materials and services, supporting the Purchasing Coordinator and Head of Purchasing Department in an EPC/Oil & Gas environment.
Key responsibilities
- Float RFQs, obtain quotations and conduct commercial evaluations within deadlines.
- Prepare bid tabulations, cost breakdown estimates and purchase recommendations.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms to achieve cost savings and required delivery dates.
- Issue and follow up Purchase Orders until acceptance.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Expediting, Inspection, Logistics and Accounts teams.
- Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Support vendor development and monitor supplier performance.
Required profile
- University degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
- 3 to 4 years of procurement experience in EPC/Oil & Gas projects in the UAE or international market.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Required skills
- Microsoft Excel
- ERP systems (SAP preferred)
