Cadet Aircraft Technician Programme (UAE Nationals)

About the role

Etihad is offering a two‑year Cadet Technician Programme for UAE nationals. The programme combines classroom theory with on‑the‑job training to develop future licensed aircraft technicians. Successful candidates will graduate with a GCAA‑approved licence and be ready to work on a variety of aircraft types.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the GCAA‑approved training syllabus and achieve a minimum 75 % pass rate on all module exams.
• Perform on‑the‑job maintenance tasks under supervision and record work in the schedule of work (logbook).
• Attend and pass all mandatory training sessions and technical competency assessments.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with Etihad procedures, GCAA regulations and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Keep up‑to‑date with regulatory changes, company procedures and best practices in aircraft maintenance.

Required profile

• UAE national holding a valid family book, aged 18‑29.
• High‑school certificate (or equivalent) with at least 60 % overall, including Maths, Physics or Science.
• Strong command of English (written and spoken).
• Completion or permanent exemption from UAE National Service (males only).
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, and to work outdoors in Etihad’s technical uniform.
