Captain / Barista - Bonbon Café

About the role

Dorchester Collection is hiring a Captain for its Bonbon Café by Angelo Musa in Dubai, a food and beverage outlet. The post is permanent and covers the day-to-day running of the outlet so that guests receive the best possible experience. The role sits within the Food & Beverage department.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests assigned to your area, present the menu and recommend and upsell items to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Keep the outlet in immaculate condition and make sure the supporting team meets service standards.
• Train and mentor the team of waiters so they can serve guests to the highest standard.
• Monitor revenue targets and keep costs within pre-set budgets, including beverage cost and other expenses.
• Take part in a daily pre-service team briefing to stay informed of hotel events and the coming service.
• Liaise with other departments to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of furniture, equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings.
• Work with the hostesses to optimise restaurant reservations for productivity, guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Ensure high-quality beverage preparation and presentation, and control beverage inventory.
