Captain – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Captain leads the day‑to‑day operations of the restaurant, ensuring guests receive an exceptional experience. You will greet guests, present menus, recommend items and uphold the highest service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all service areas, ensuring immaculate presentation and adherence to standards.
• Train, mentor and motivate the waiting team to deliver superior guest service.
• Achieve revenue targets while controlling costs, including beverage expenses.
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain cleanliness, maintenance and optimal reservation flow.
• Manage beverage preparation quality, presentation and inventory control.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for guest service.
• Detail‑oriented, hands‑on team player with a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic, Italian, French, Spanish or German are highly desirable.
• Relevant professional certification or hotel school diploma and extensive experience in luxury hotels/restaurants in the Middle East.

Required skills

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Knowledge of revenue management and cost control in a F&B outlet.
