Cashier - Lost World Aquarium

About the role

Atlantis Dubai, part of Kerzner International, is hiring a cashier for its Lost World Aquarium. The role ensures accurate cash handling and recording, daily deposits to the general cashier, and the use of upselling and excellent customer service to sell auxiliary products in the Marine and Water Park division while promoting the aquarium's education and conservation efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the departmental operations manual, policies, procedures, government regulations and the Employee Handbook.
• Perform cashiering duties effectively, stay well-groomed and remain ready to serve guests at the point of sale.
• Promote Marine Animal Adventures and Aquaventure bookings as revenue extensions of the aquarium experience.
• Prepare reports, collect change and stationery, and keep the float intact at the end of each shift.
• Document and report overages and shortages to the Manager, Lost World, and file records for audits.
• Remit credit sale documents, voids, discounts, meal vouchers and valet tickets to finance daily, with proper approvals for voids and discounts.
• Report suspected fraud, irregularities or non-compliance to the Manager, Lost World.
• Liaise with other departments, attend meetings and trainings, and follow management assignments.

Required profile

• Ability to stand for long periods and work indoors and outdoors depending on operations.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills, with a strong customer focus.
• Leadership and communication abilities.
