Chef de Partie - Bakery

About the role

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is looking for a Chef de Partie for its bakery in Dubai. The role takes ownership of a kitchen division, supervising and organising the section before service, mentoring the culinary team and collaborating with the sous chefs and chef de cuisine on menus and dishes. The group operates across hospitality, entertainment, real estate and more.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, organise and oversee a designated kitchen division, keeping the section set up efficiently before service
• Mentor, train and lead the culinary team, giving guidance on techniques, time management and kitchen safety
• Collaborate with the sous chefs and chef de cuisine on seasonal menus, menu components and culinary displays
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and order with a minimum-waste approach
• Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols and keep the kitchen clean and sanitary
• Take part in menu tasting sessions, assessments and staff training

Required profile

• Proven track record as a bakery chef de partie in a luxury hotel or pool operation establishment
• Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Positive attitude, proactive contribution to menu development and strong organisational and leadership skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in culinary techniques, presentation and plating methods
• Safe use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and health and safety regulations
