Civil Foreman - Oil & Gas EPC Projects

About the role

Target Engineering is looking for an experienced Civil Foreman to supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities on major oil and gas EPC projects in the UAE. The successful candidate ensures work is executed safely, in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules, while leading site teams to achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate civil work: interpret drawings and specifications, plan daily manpower, materials, tools and equipment, and coordinate with MEP, scaffolding, lifting and equipment crews
• Supervise civil teams (masons, carpenters, steel fixers, concrete workers) and oversee excavation, foundations, concreting, shuttering, reinforcement, trenching, paving, blockwork and finishing
• Monitor daily progress, raise and complete inspection requests, and enforce method statements, ITPs and quality procedures
• Check quality of formwork, reinforcement, compaction, concrete placement and finishing, and assist QA/QC teams during inspections, testing and handover
• Enforce site safety requirements, permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, PPE use and incident reporting
• Manage manpower, materials and equipment, minimise wastage and coordinate equipment mobilisation
• Maintain daily records, attendance and overtime logs, and support as-built documentation and project close-out

Required profile

• Minimum 8-10 years of construction experience, depending on education; at least 3 years in a supervisory/foreman role
• Experience on large-scale multidisciplinary EPC projects; oil and gas, marine, power, industrial plant and civil infrastructure experience preferred
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Relevant construction and HSE training certifications are an advantage

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting engineering and construction drawings
• Knowledge of civil construction methods, materials and industry best practices
• Understanding of inspection requirements, quality standards, method statements and ITPs
• Leadership, team coordination and workforce management
• Good understanding of HSE requirements in oil and gas construction
