Clinic Support Assistant

About the role

Cosmesurge Delma is hiring a Clinical Support Assistant (CSA) in Abu Dhabi. The CSA provides administrative and clinical support to healthcare professionals, assists with patient care under their direction and supervision, manages medical records and helps prepare clinical areas for patient treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise clinical areas, including waiting areas, for consultations and procedures
• Provide non-interventional assistance to licensed healthcare professionals during examinations and treatments (chaperoning, consumable and room preparation)
• When trained and competent, help with mobility, bed making and personal hygiene under supervision
• Ensure medical equipment is sterilised and cleaned according to NMC Policy
• Manage patient records, update information and protect confidentiality and data
• Schedule appointments and handle admissions and discharges, including follow-up discharge calls
• Monitor and restock medical supplies
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families when required
• Follow safety, health and infection control procedures and comply with NMC policies and quality improvement requirements
• Escort patients between departments and transport specimens in line with NMC Policy

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; some employers may ask for additional certification or training
• Ability to follow the instruction and supervision of a licensed healthcare professional
• Compliance with the regulator's scope of practice
