Club Lounge Waiter/Waitress – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Waiter/ess for its Club Lounge. The role involves delivering an exceptional dining experience, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring high standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Lounge menu and suggest items to guests.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate them to kitchen and bar, and ensure prompt delivery.
• Address special requests or dietary needs, informing kitchen and management as required.
• Provide attentive, personalized service and create WOW moments for guests.
• Upsell services and products to enhance revenue.
• Operate the POS system, process billing, and set up/clear tables according to standards.

Required profile

• High school qualification preferred; hospitality degree advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a waiter/ess in a high‑volume restaurant or luxury hotel.
• Strong verbal and written English; Arabic a plus.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accepted dining service procedures and standards.
• Familiarity with restaurant point‑of‑sale and cashiering systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Understanding of service flow and ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
