Commis 3 - Bakery

About the role

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is hiring a Commis 3 for its bakery in Dubai. The role sits within a global lifestyle group spanning hospitality, entertainment, real estate and more, and involves preparing and presenting dishes that meet the group's culinary standards, assisting senior chefs and helping with menu development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes that meet and exceed culinary standards, with attention to detail in mise en place and stock rotation.
• Assist senior chefs in the kitchen and contribute to menu development.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Execute tasks assigned by senior chefs with precision and efficiency.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards and collaborate with colleagues to keep the kitchen well coordinated.

Required profile

• A proven track record as a Commis 3 or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
• Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred; outstanding pre-opening kitchen experience is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude, passion for the culinary arts and good interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Culinary basics, including knife skills, cooking methods and ingredient preparation.
• Safe use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards and best restaurant practices.

What we offer

• A fixed monthly salary of AED 1,000.
