Communications Lead for MENAT region

About the role

Spotify is seeking a culturally fluent, strategically sharp, and creative Communications Lead to shape and share its story across the MENAT+ region.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and execute an integrated communications strategy for MENAT+, putting regional creators, audiences, and culture at the heart of storytelling.
• Provide trusted counsel to regional leadership on business priorities, reputation, emerging issues, and high‑impact moments.
• Anticipate reputational opportunities and risks, responding thoughtfully as cultural, media, policy, and regulatory dynamics evolve.
• Lead creator‑first and earned‑first storytelling that builds fandom, discovery, and cultural relevance.
• Partner with Music, Podcasts, Product, Growth, Marketing, Public Affairs and other teams to develop communications supporting regional priorities.
• Connect MENAT+ priorities with Spotify’s global communications strategy and translate them for local audiences.
• Lead corporate, executive, internal and B2B communications, including executive positioning, thought leadership, media engagement and strategic messaging.
• Manage agency relationships and budgets, delivering high‑quality, locally relevant work across a diverse geographic footprint.

Required profile

• 10+ years of communications experience across consumer, corporate, reputation and policy communications.
• Deep understanding of media, cultural and creator landscape across MENA, Türkiye, Pakistan or adjacent markets.
• Strategic thinker and adaptable storyteller able to work across earned media, executive communications, influencer engagement and integrated channels.
• Fluent in English and Arabic and/or Turkish with strong communication skills for regional audiences.
• Ability to provide sound judgment in sensitive or fast‑moving situations and advise senior leaders.
• Comfortable working in a global, cross‑functional organization, influencing without formal authority.
