Communications Specialist

About the role

Roche is looking for a Communications Specialist in Dubai to act as its Communication Partner. The role strengthens stakeholder trust and the positive perception of Roche UAE, supporting the Head of Strategy in advancing the public health conversation and mobilising people behind a common purpose. It works closely with the Corporate Communications network for Pharma in the Middle East and with external media and PR stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support Roche UAE's positioning, profiling and market-shaping efforts, identifying insights and opportunities such as system-shaping narratives and public health collaborations
• Expand the UAE's communications impact by activating local priorities and collaboration topics, keeping efforts focused, integrated and measurable
• Work cross-functionally with government affairs, public health, access and brand teams to strengthen stakeholder engagement
• Develop strategies to engage key external stakeholders such as HCPs, patient organisations and the media, strengthening Roche's reputation
• Drive internal engagement by connecting and mobilising people behind the organisation's ambition and strategy
• Act as an inspiration-sparker for brand teams (commercial, medical, access) and a functional support for the Head of Strategy and other senior leaders

Required profile

• 4+ years of media, PR, corporate or public affairs experience in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry in the UAE
• Proven leadership experience in a non-hierarchical environment and the ability to lead without authority
• Experience leading multi-stakeholder engagement and advocacy
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage
