Compliance Manager - FATCA & CRS Specialist

About the role

A client of the recruiter is looking for a Manager FATCA in Dubai, UAE, to ensure its compliance with US FATCA and OECD CRS obligations. The role works closely with several departments on customer classification, documentation, due diligence, regulatory reporting and remediation. The position is full-time and sits within a compliance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Classify customers for FATCA and CRS purposes during onboarding and ongoing processes.
• Review and validate tax documentation, including W-8 and W-9 forms.
• Identify and address US indicia and changes in circumstances.
• Prepare and submit annual FATCA and CRS reports through the UAE Ministry of Finance portal.
• Perform data quality checks and manage account remediation.
• Maintain FATCA and CRS policies and procedures.
• Advise and train staff on FATCA and CRS requirements.
• Conduct quality checks and report results to senior management.
• Support reviews by regulators and auditors.
• Stay up to date with changes in FATCA, CRS and UAE regulations.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in FATCA and CRS compliance at a UAE financial institution.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Business or a related field.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, with good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of FATCA, CRS and UAE reporting frameworks.
• Hands-on experience reviewing tax documentation and classifying customers.
• Good understanding of KYC/CDD processes.
• Data analysis skills.
