Computational Designer (MEP)

About the role

Zutari is seeking an experienced Computational Designer to lead the development of advanced structural, façade and MEP solutions using parametric and generative design techniques. The role works across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, data‑driven design outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead computational design processes for structural, façade and MEP systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and digital teams to create coordinated, optimized designs.
• Automate and enhance design workflows using Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python and related APIs.
• Develop parametric models for design exploration, performance optimisation and clash avoidance.
• Analyse complex geometric, environmental and performance data to inform decisions.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, BIM models, scripts and specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the evolution of digital engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of computational design experience in the built environment.
• Proven track record working in multidisciplinary design teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating structural, façade or MEP computational projects.

Required skills

• Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python, C# scripting.
• Rhino.Inside.Revit, Revit API, expert‑level Revit BIM for structural and MEP models.
• TEKLA Structures.
• Structural analysis tools: Strand7, SAP2000, ETABS, StatiCa.
• MEP modelling, parametric layouts, clash detection and coordination.
• 3D modelling and visualization: Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp.
