Cost Control Engineer - Aluminium & Glass

About the role

IRTH Group is looking for a Cost Control Engineer to join its AMC team, which manufactures architectural aluminium and glass products such as curtain walls, skylights, doors and windows, partitions, frameless and spider systems and architectural cladding. The engineer helps manage project costs, analyse budgets and allocate resources efficiently across engineering and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project budgets, cost estimates for labour, materials and equipment, and accurate monthly forecasts
• Track project spending against budget, identify variances and implement corrective actions
• Review and manage scope changes, variations and change orders so budgets stay aligned
• Prepare cost-control reports and project updates for management
• Review vendor invoices and subcontractor claims for contractual compliance
• Work with project managers, procurement and finance to improve project profitability

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Proven experience in cost control, estimation and forecasting, preferably in construction or engineering
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to spot financial risks and cost-saving opportunities

Required skills

• Proficiency in cost-tracking software such as MS Excel and ERP systems
• Familiarity with Odoo and Xpedeon is a significant advantage
