Construction Manager (Artificial Island) – Offshore Topside PMC Project

About the role

KBR Abu Dhabi is seeking a Construction Manager to lead civil and underground infrastructure works for a major offshore topside facility on an artificial island. The role starts in the office and transitions to an offshore site with a 6‑weeks‑on/3‑weeks‑off rotation. You will be responsible for execution, safety, quality and schedule of complex land‑based works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all onsite construction activities related to civil and underground infrastructure, including piling, foundations, trenching and utility installation.
• Coordinate daily activities of contractors, subcontractors, consultants and site supervision teams to ensure efficient deployment of manpower, equipment and materials.
• Review and monitor construction schedules, recovery plans and interface coordination between civil, MEP, utility and infrastructure packages.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements and local authority regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• 12–15 years of construction experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary construction teams in fast‑paced environments.

Required skills

• Piling and deep foundation systems.
• Excavation, trenching and road subgrade works.
• Underground utility installation – HDPE, GRP, ductile‑iron and reinforced‑concrete piping.
• Stormwater, sewer, potable water and drainage network construction.
• MV/LV cable laying and underground cable installations.
