Construction Manager - Structures (RTA Road Project, Dubai)

About the role

L&T Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Manager - Structures for a major RTA Roads and Infrastructure project in Dubai, UAE. The manager will lead the construction of bridges, flyovers, underpasses, culverts, retaining walls and other reinforced-concrete structures, keeping them on schedule, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage structural works such as bridges, piers, abutments, decks, underpasses, culverts, retaining walls and foundations.
• Supervise piling, pile caps, formwork, reinforcement, post-tensioning, precast erection and concreting.
• Review drawings, method statements, temporary-works designs, material submissions and work programmes.
• Coordinate with RTA, consultants, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Manage manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors and daily site activities.
• Monitor progress, productivity, costs, quality, safety and compliance with the approved programme.
• Identify technical issues, site constraints and delays and put corrective measures in place.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, work approvals and closure of quality observations and NCRs.
• Ensure safe execution of lifting, scaffolding, formwork, temporary works and work-at-height activities.
• Prepare progress reports, resource forecasts, recovery plans and construction records.
• Support testing, authority approvals, as-built documentation, handover and close-out.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15-20 years of experience in structural construction for roads, highways, bridges or major infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience on RTA road or highway projects in Dubai is preferred.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction practices, quality standards and EHS requirements.
