About the role

SearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a leading hospital in Dubai, UAE. The role involves providing specialised anaesthesia services for adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the peri‑operative period.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia care for complex cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting and valve replacement.
• Conduct comprehensive pre‑operative assessments and develop individualised anaesthesia plans.
• Perform and interpret advanced haemodynamic monitoring and transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE) intra‑operatively.
• Manage intra‑operative haemodynamic instability and critical events.
• Coordinate with surgeons, perfusionists, intensivists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee postoperative stabilisation and transfer to the cardiac intensive care unit.
• Participate in emergency cardiac procedures and contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Specialist qualification in Anaesthesiology with additional training or certification in cardiac anaesthesia.
• Western board certification (e.g., American Board of Anaesthesiology or equivalent).
• Significant specialist‑level experience in cardiac anaesthesia and complex cardiovascular cases.
• Eligibility for Consultant Anaesthesiologist licensing in the UAE.
