Consultant Family Medicine – Full-time in UAE

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant in Family Medicine to join its multidisciplinary primary‑care team. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centred care across all age groups within a modern, evidence‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare services to infants, children, adults and the elderly.
• Diagnose, treat and manage acute illnesses, chronic diseases and complex conditions using evidence‑based practice.
• Conduct health assessments, routine examinations and preventive screenings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, dyslipidaemia and cardiovascular disease.
• Promote preventive health through vaccinations, lifestyle counselling, smoking cessation and health education.
• Perform minor office‑based procedures within competency.
• Order, interpret and evaluate laboratory and imaging investigations.
• Refer patients to specialty services and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with regulatory standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents and interns.
• Participate in on‑call and emergency care as required.

Required profile

• Board‑certified/qualified in Family Medicine with several years of clinical experience.
• Internationally trained consultant seeking career progression.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate care with specialists and allied health professionals.
