Consultant Intensivist (ICU)

About the role
The Consultant Intensivist will deliver patient‑centric, evidence‑based care in the ICU, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality clinical services to ICU patients efficiently and ethically.
- Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality management standards and maintain accurate medical records.
- Support continuous professional development for self and junior colleagues.
Required profile
- Basic medical degree with a recognised fellowship/diploma and registration in a specialty approved by UAE health authorities.
- Active, valid life‑support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
- Minimum 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience at Consultant level; preference for experience in a Tier 1 country.
Required skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Knowledge of clinical audit standards and processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English (Arabic advantageous).
