Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (Western Qualified)

About the role

A leading private hospital in the UAE is seeking a Western‑qualified Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to provide comprehensive, patient‑centred care across pregnancy, childbirth and reproductive health.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions, including high‑risk pregnancies.
• Provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, conduct normal and assisted deliveries, and manage obstetric emergencies.
• Perform caesarean sections and other operative procedures such as hysteroscopy and laparoscopy where trained.
• Diagnose and treat menstrual disorders, infertility‑related conditions and other gynaecological concerns.
• Collaborate with midwives, neonatologists, fertility specialists and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Consultant‑level qualification (e.g., UK CCT/CCST, Irish CSCST, US Board Certification, Canadian FRCSC, Australian FRANZCOG or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, including labour ward management and operative procedures.
• Experience managing high‑risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies, preferably in a tertiary or leading private hospital.
• Excellent clinical judgement, communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
