Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecologist (UK CCT) – Western Qualified

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecologist (UK CCT) to join a leading private hospital in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive women’s health services across obstetrics, gynecology and minimally invasive surgery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient obstetrics and gynecology consultations.
• Manage low‑risk and high‑risk pregnancies, including antenatal, intrapartum and post‑natal care.
• Perform normal vaginal deliveries, instrumental deliveries, and both elective and emergency Caesarean sections.
• Diagnose and treat gynecological disorders such as abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain and menopausal conditions.
• Carry out major and minor gynecological surgeries using open, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and other minimally invasive techniques.
• Handle obstetric emergencies including postpartum hemorrhage, pre‑eclampsia, eclampsia and fetal distress.
• Conduct prenatal screening, fetal assessment and ultrasound interpretation within clinical privileges.
• Offer counseling on contraception, family planning, fertility preservation and menopause management.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, maternal‑fetal medicine specialists, radiologists, anesthesiologists and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and participate in multidisciplinary meetings, morbidity‑mortality reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents and allied health staff.

Required profile

• UK CCT qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Extensive experience managing both low‑ and high‑risk pregnancies and performing gynecological surgery.
• Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and lead clinical care.
• Experience supervising junior doctors and trainees.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and adherence to UAE healthcare regulations.
