Consultant Pediatric Neurology (Specialist)

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Region health authority seeks an experienced Consultant in Pediatric Neurology to lead clinical care for children with neurological disorders, particularly epilepsy. The role involves direct patient management, supervision of junior staff, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pediatric neurological conditions following best‑practice standards.
• Oversee and mentor junior medical staff, ensuring high‑quality patient care.
• Lead ward rounds, document clinical information promptly, and review investigation results to adjust treatment plans.
• Coordinate with other specialties and support services for comprehensive patient management.
• Participate in performance management, peer review, and productivity assessments.
• Assist the Division Chief with scheduling, recruitment, and administrative duties.
• Ensure compliance with SEHA policies, licensing, certification, and mandatory training.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Pediatric Neurology – Epilepsy.
• Board certification (American Board, CCT UK, Australian Board, or equivalent Western board) and relevant fellowship.
• Minimum five years of post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Current national medical license and proof of annual CME.
