Consultant Psychiatrist – Full‑time Role in UAE

About the role
A leading, internationally accredited multispecialty healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its mental health services and seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist. This full‑time position offers strong clinical exposure, career advancement and the chance to work in a modern, quality‑driven environment serving a diverse international patient population.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, PTSD and OCD.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, risk assessments, mental status examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor pharmacotherapy, refer to psychotherapy and coordinate multidisciplinary care with psychologists, therapists and other specialists.
- Manage acute psychiatric presentations and crisis situations, ensuring appropriate referrals and safety.
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment options, medication safety and relapse prevention.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to confidentiality and patient safety standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, audits and service development initiatives.
Required profile
- Board‑certified or equivalent specialist qualification in Psychiatry (e.g., US Board, UK CCT/MRCPsych, European Board, Arab Board, FRANZCP, etc.).
- Internationally trained psychiatrist eligible to practice in the UAE.
- Experience in adult psychiatry and ability to manage complex mental health cases.
- Commitment to patient‑centred care, multidisciplinary teamwork and adherence to international healthcare standards.
