Consultant Radiologist

About the role

The Specialist Radiologist provides high‑quality diagnostic imaging services, interprets radiological examinations, and supports clinicians in patient diagnosis and management. The role demands expertise across multiple imaging modalities, accurate reporting, and strong communication with referring physicians.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive radiology reports.
• Review clinical history and relevant investigations to ensure appropriate interpretation of imaging studies.
• Communicate significant or urgent findings promptly to the referring physician or clinical team.
• Perform image‑guided procedures and interventions where appropriately trained and credentialed.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to radiation protection and infection‑control protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide radiological input for patient management.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiographers, radiology technicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuing medical education and training.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) and specialty qualification in Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology.
• Valid DHA Consultant Radiologist license or eligibility to obtain DHA licensing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of post‑specialty experience as a Consultant Radiologist, preferably in a hospital, multispecialty clinic, or diagnostic imaging centre.
• Experience with PACS/RIS and electronic medical records.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Interpretation of X‑ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI imaging modalities.
• Proficiency with PACS/RIS systems.
• Use of electronic medical record (EMR) platforms.
• Strong diagnostic and analytical abilities.
