About the role
A leading multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its laboratory medicine and diagnostic services and seeks experienced Consultant / Specialist Clinical Pathologists to join a multidisciplinary clinical team. The role offers high‑impact leadership in an internationally accredited laboratory, supporting advanced diagnostics, clinical decision‑making and patient safety for a diverse patient population.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and manage clinical laboratory services including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology.
- Ensure accuracy, reliability and timely reporting of diagnostic test results.
- Interpret laboratory findings and provide clinical consultation to physicians.
- Implement and monitor quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) programmes.
- Maintain compliance with international accreditation standards such as JCI, CAP and ISO.
- Supervise laboratory staff, including technologists and technicians.
- Participate in infection control, transfusion medicine and clinical governance programmes.
- Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and enhance laboratory efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to UAE healthcare regulations and laboratory standards.
Required profile
- Internationally trained clinical pathologists with recognised qualifications (e.g., American Board of Pathology, UK CCT/FRCPath, European Board, Canadian Royal College, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board MD Pathology/DNB/FCPS or equivalent).
- Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) licence conversion, with full support provided.
- Minimum 3 + years post‑specialist/board certification experience.
