Consultant Specialist Nephrologist – Dubai Tax-Free Role

About the role

A leading multispecialty tertiary care hospital in Dubai is expanding its nephrology services and seeks an experienced Consultant/Specialist Nephrologist. The position offers a tax‑free salary, state‑of‑the‑art facilities and exposure to a diverse international patient base.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases, including CKD and AKI.
• Oversee hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis programs.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑transplant care for renal transplant patients.
• Manage electrolyte imbalances, hypertension and fluid disorders.
• Conduct and interpret renal function tests, kidney biopsies and imaging studies.
• Deliver inpatient and outpatient nephrology consultations.
• Collaborate with ICU, endocrinology and transplant teams for critical‑care cases.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality assurance and infection‑control initiatives.
• Educate patients and families on long‑term kidney disease management.
• Supervise junior doctors and contribute to academic programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5+ years post‑board experience in nephrology.
• Board‑certified or equivalent qualification (e.g., ABIM Nephrology, UK CCT/MRCP, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, DM/DNB, FCPS).
• Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) licensure (support provided).
