Cover Supervisor – Classroom Support

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor with an immediate start to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will supervise classes during teacher absences, keeping students engaged and on task. This role maintains continuity and high standards of education at GEMS FirstPoint School.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher.
• Deliver pre‑prepared lesson plans and ensure students stay focused.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide support and assistance to students as needed.
• Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate school staff.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all students during class time.
• Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in a similar role or educational setting (advantageous).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
