Cybersecurity / IT Specialist

About the role

UEXO, a CFD and Forex trading company, is looking for a Cybersecurity / Information Technology Specialist in Dubai. The person maintains the IT infrastructure, keeps information systems secure and reliable, protects company data and provides technical support to employees. The role covers implementing cybersecurity measures, monitoring threats, managing user access, maintaining network and system security and complying with internal IT policies and data protection requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures and security controls.
• Configure and maintain operating systems, software applications and IT equipment.
• Monitor systems, networks and endpoints for suspicious activity, malware, unauthorized access and security incidents, and apply the needed protection.
• Apply security patches, software updates and vulnerability mitigation; run regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Protect company information against phishing, ransomware, data leakage and other cyber threats.
• Document incidents, root causes, corrective and preventive actions.
• Review Microsoft 365 security alerts, sign-in activity and audit logs.
• Manage business email accounts, distribution lists, shared mailboxes and user permissions.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, connectivity and access issues, and ensure secure remote access for employees and authorized third parties.
• Troubleshoot network outages, connectivity problems and system performance issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, network security or IT infrastructure security, depending on seniority.
• Practical experience implementing and maintaining security controls.

Required skills

• Network security: TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS and secure network architecture.
• Endpoint and system security: securing Windows and Linux systems, servers, workstations and endpoint protection solutions.
• Data protection: encryption, DLP, backup security and disaster recovery.
• Information security frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Security policies, audit requirements and incident reporting procedures.
