Delivery Lead - Software Engineering

About the role

The Delivery Lead leads end-to-end delivery of software engineering initiatives, ensuring projects are executed on time, with high quality and efficiency across multiple product streams. The role covers delivery governance, Agile execution, cross-functional collaboration, resource planning and continuous improvement, while keeping compliance with organizational policies, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of software projects from discovery through release, keeping them on time, within scope and aligned with business objectives
• Monitor sprint progress, velocity and release planning, remove blockers and escalate risks
• Champion Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices, facilitate planning sessions, retrospectives and delivery reviews, and ensure backlog readiness with Product Owners
• Act as the main interface between Engineering, Product, Business and external stakeholders, reporting transparently on milestones, risks and dependencies
• Work with Engineering Managers on capacity planning, forecast resource needs and identify skill gaps
• Identify cross-team dependencies and risks early, develop mitigation plans and ensure compliance with governance and security standards
• Drive adherence to engineering best practices (CI/CD, code reviews, testing) and monitor metrics such as lead time, cycle time, defect leakage and release stability

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years as a Lead or Senior IC, with people-management experience for at least one squad
• Full-stack, cloud and delivery background, fluent in Agile delivery, DORA metrics and product-engineering partnership
• Comfortable holding their own with Software Architects and making trade-offs between people, product and platform investments
• People manager with hiring, calibration, coaching and difficult-conversation experience
• Fluent English, written and spoken

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and the SDLC
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
