Demi Chef De Partie – Bakery

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown in Dubai is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join its Bakery team. You will help deliver high‑quality baked goods that meet world‑class standards of taste, presentation and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and baking bread, pastries and other items.
• Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Monitor stock and inventory, manage requisitions and minimise waste.
• Collaborate on new recipe development.
• Support broader kitchen operations and cross‑functional tasks.
• Uphold health, food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP and UAE Municipality requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary training is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Demi Chef de Partie in a bakery of a 5‑star hotel or high‑end restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of baking, dough handling, proofing and finishing.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety practices.
• Effective communication in English (verbal & written); additional languages a plus.
• Creativity, passion for baking and a team‑oriented mindset.
