About the role
We are looking for a motivated Demi Chef De Partie to join the Croft kitchen at Marriott Hotels & Resorts in Dubai. The role involves preparing special and regular meals, ensuring quality and presentation standards, and supporting the culinary team during busy periods.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, and manage food thawing and storage.
- Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, garnish dishes, and ensure overall food quality.
- Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items, and excess food usage to service staff and the Chef.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching kitchen staff as needed.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant culinary experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Food preparation and cooking according to recipes.
- Cold food preparation.
- Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and roasters.
