DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Application Platforms

About the role

The Institute Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is seeking a DevOps Engineer to accelerate the development and delivery of software that supports advanced AI and research projects. You will design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and application platforms, working closely with software engineers and researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, packaging and deployment.
• Develop reusable deployment templates, Helm charts and infrastructure‑as‑code modules.
• Manage container build workflows, artifact registries and configuration across dev, test and prod environments.
• Implement GitOps practices and integrate automated security checks, dependency scanning and secrets management.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment and runtime issues and improve developer experience through self‑service tooling and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps or platform engineering supporting software development teams.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Strong Linux administration, scripting and networking skills.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, containerd) and Kubernetes deployments.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI/ML workloads is a plus.

Required skills

• Python or Bash for automation.
• Terraform, OpenTofu or Ansible for infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Helm, FluxCD or Argo CD for GitOps.
• CI/CD pipeline tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Container technologies: Docker, containerd, Kubernetes.
