Dimensional Control Surveyor

About the role

The Dimensional Control Surveyor is responsible for ensuring that all dimension control activities on offshore wind, HVDC and related projects are performed safely, accurately and in line with technical requirements. The role supports continuous improvement of dimension control management across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections of panels, LSF/grillage, structures, blocks, modules and assemblies to verify compliance with approved drawings and tolerance requirements.
• Conduct as‑built dimensional surveys using total stations, laser trackers, theodolites and other precision measurement equipment.
• Ensure survey instruments are calibrated, maintained and used according to procedures, and coordinate any maintenance or recalibration needs.
• Prepare detailed dimensional control reports documenting deviations, non‑conformities and corrective actions, and communicate findings to engineering, production and quality teams.
• Support resolution of dimensional non‑conformities, verify compliance with method statements, ITPs and quality control plans, and maintain accurate inspection records.

Required profile

• University degree or technical qualification in Engineering Surveying, Geomatics, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience as a Dimensional Control Surveyor on offshore wind, HVDC converter platforms, offshore substations or comparable large steel fabrication projects.
• Proven experience in dimensional inspection of large steel structures, modules and outfitting interfaces.

Required skills

• Operation of precision survey equipment such as total stations, laser trackers and theodolites.
• Survey data processing, evaluation of measurement results and preparation of dimensional control reports.
• Creation and verification of technical documentation related to dimensional control.
