Director of Faculty and Curriculum

About the role

NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a Director of Faculty and Curriculum to lead the design, development and quality assurance of its academic and professional programmes. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Executive & Professional Education, the role will shape curricula ranging from degree programmes to executive education, micro‑credentials and certificates, ensuring alignment with NYU standards and regional workforce needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and map comprehensive learning outcomes for degree, executive and stackable programmes.
• Create stackable pathways that convert non‑degree certificates into credit‑bearing degrees.
• Lead faculty partnerships across NYU and NYUAD, vetting qualifications and coordinating programme timelines.
• Oversee digital transformation of learning, including online course design, course‑design matrices and technical construction of course shells.
• Navigate internal and external approval processes to secure accreditation and meet UAE regulatory requirements.
• Identify and drive new programme development initiatives in collaboration with faculty.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in curriculum architecture and academic programme development at the university level.
• Proven track record of working with faculty to design and launch degree and professional education programmes.
• Deep understanding of accreditation standards and quality assurance in higher education.
• Experience managing cross‑institutional collaborations and stakeholder relationships.
