Director of Governance, Architecture & Strategy

About the role

The Head of Governance, Architecture and Strategy leads Emirates Global Aluminium’s Digital Transformation Governance, Architecture and Strategy function. This senior role is responsible for aligning the digital transformation agenda with the company’s overall business strategy, managing budgets, policies and enterprise architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Digital Transformation Governance budget (OpEx/CapEx) and monitor financial performance.
• Define and enforce Digital Transformation policies, procedures and controls across all functional areas.
• Lead the design and implementation of the enterprise architecture, ensuring scalability, security and alignment with business goals.
• Oversee service management model implementation using ITSM and agile methodologies, including internal and external satisfaction surveys.
• Support the Chief Digital Officer in shaping the Digital Transformation strategy and measuring its business value.
• Manage procurement, renewal and optimisation of digital licences and contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in governance, architecture or IT strategy and 5 years in senior management.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing IT strategies, policies and service‑management models.
• Strong financial management experience, including large‑budget oversight.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
