Discord Community Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing Series A Gen AI startup, is looking for a Discord Community Manager to lead engagement for its 300,000‑member Discord server. The role is fully remote (UAE or Pakistan) and requires primary availability between 12 pm–10 pm PST.

Key responsibilities

• Drive engagement through weekly challenges, events, prompts and creator activities.
• Improve onboarding, participation and retention, and build self‑service systems to reduce repetitive support questions.
• Maintain a welcoming, high‑quality community culture and answer user questions.
• Identify and escalate bugs, product feedback and user pain points to product and growth teams.
• Build relationships with power users, creators and contributors.
• Coordinate moderators, set clear moderation standards and ensure healthy discussions.
• Enhance workflows, documentation, FAQs, bots and support systems.
• Track and report community health and engagement metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Discord communities of 30 000+ members.
• Strong instincts for online community dynamics and engagement loops.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in internet culture and able to interact naturally with creators.
• Builder mentality – proactive, experimental and able to improve systems without waiting for instructions.
• Organised and operational, capable of managing moderators, events and feedback.
• Genuine passion for AI‑generated art, creative tools and online creator ecosystems.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Discord moderation bots and Discord tools.
• Experience with AI image and video generation tools.
• Knowledge of community analytics and workflow automation.
