Draftsman - Civil Construction and Telecom Infrastructure

About the role

XAD Technologies is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to prepare, modify and maintain technical drawings for civil construction and telecom infrastructure projects. The draftsman works with project engineers and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy, compliance with project specifications and timely submission of drawings for execution and approval.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction drawings, layouts and technical plans, including civil and telecom drawings such as trenches, duct routes, handholes, manholes and fiber-optic routes
• Produce as-built drawings based on actual site conditions and approved modifications
• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors and NOC teams on design requirements and site changes, and review site measurements
• Incorporate feedback from engineers, clients and consultants into revised drawings
• Maintain records of drawings, revisions and document versions, and ensure compliance with project standards and authority requirements
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, as-built drawings and final drawing packages, and keep documents up to date
• Support site execution and verification, revise drawings from red-line markups, and help prepare BOQs and quantity take-offs

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related technical field
• 2-5 years of drafting experience in civil construction, telecom infrastructure or related projects; immediate joiners preferred
• Strong attention to detail, good communication and time management, and ability to meet project deadlines

Required skills

• AutoCAD (2D/3D); Revit or similar drafting software is an advantage
• Understanding of civil and structural drafting principles and telecom/civil infrastructure drawings
• Ability to read plans, elevations, sections and site markups
• Microsoft Office and drawing/document management tools
