Electrical Engineer - Construction Supervision

About the role

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a construction supervision project in Abu Dhabi. The engineer covers all aspects of the project relating to electrical works, manages the electrical inspectors and supports the Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer and the Resident Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse applicable codes, standards and contract documents and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance
• Maintain records such as daily/weekly progress reports, material accounting records, change orders and record drawings
• Supervise, direct and coordinate the inspection team, hold weekly meetings with inspectors and the Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer, and audit inspections against contract documents and contractor plans
• Issue NCRs for violations and highlight site issues; stop work if unsafe practices are followed
• Assist the Senior Discipline Engineer in identifying and evaluating technical issues to keep the schedule, and support snagging and project handover
• Attend progress and coordination meetings, liaise with the Design Engineer on modifications and give daily site reports
• Monitor health and safety of construction works and report on them

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering within site supervision
