Electrician Cum Driver - Facilities Management

About the role

The Facilities Management department is looking for an Electrician cum Driver to carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems across assigned buildings and facilities, and to drive company vehicles for site visits, emergency call-outs and transport of technicians, tools and materials. The position reports to the PPM Manager / FLS Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, including troubleshooting faults, power failures, short circuits and tripping.
• Inspect, maintain and repair MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, control panels, lighting, switches, sockets, wiring and power outlets.
• Cable pull, termination, rewiring and minor electrical installation or modification works.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in pumps, motors, exhaust fans, FAHUs/AHUs and other building equipment.
• Use multimeters, clamp meters and insulation testers; attend emergency call-outs and restore services safely.
• Follow electrical isolation and LOTO procedures, and complete PPM checklists, work orders and maintenance reports.
• Report unsafe conditions and abnormal equipment operation to the Supervisor/Engineer, and coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and other FM technicians.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment and materials, and assist with general FM maintenance within your competency.
• Drive company vehicles safely between sites, transport technicians and materials, and keep the vehicle maintained.
• Follow HSE requirements, site rules, permit-to-work procedures and client requirements.

Required profile

• Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory).
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in facilities management or building maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE/GCC FM experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, attend emergency and after-hours call-outs, and work across multiple FM sites and shifts.
• Preferred: experience in residential/commercial buildings and multi-site FM, and basic knowledge of HVAC, pumps and plumbing.

Required skills

• Good practical knowledge of LV electrical systems, single-phase and three-phase systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs and basic control/wiring diagrams.
• Basic English communication, reading and report-writing skills.
• Physical fitness for field maintenance.
