Electrician – Facility Maintenance

About the role

Careers International is hiring a full-time electrician in Dubai within the facility management sector. The role covers electrical maintenance, repairs, installations and upgrades, as well as reporting and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, maintenance and repairs of electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, switches, circuits and electrical panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, diagnose issues and carry out preventive maintenance to keep systems running reliably.
• Follow safety protocols and stay up to date with UAE electrical codes, regulations and standards.
• Assist in installing new electrical systems, wiring, fixtures and equipment, and coordinate with other maintenance teams.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and generate reports on system status and recommendations.
• Take part in emergency response and be available for on-call duty.
• Work with colleagues and management, and suggest energy-efficiency improvements and upgrades.

Required profile

• ITI or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in facility management or a related environment.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the UAE facility or maintenance industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• Attention to detail, organisation and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuits and components.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and tools.
