English Content Specialist

About the role

The English Content Specialist supports the development, translation, review and refinement of English content across the bank's customer communications and marketing initiatives. Working closely with business marketing teams, the role ensures content is linguistically accurate, culturally relevant and aligned with the bank's brand positioning, tone of voice and English verbal expression guidelines. As part of the Brand Strategy and Content team, the post is an entry point into the function, with a career path toward becoming an English content custodian.

Key responsibilities

• Create, refine and proofread English content for products, campaigns and customer communications, ensuring quality, clarity, consistency and accuracy.
• Follow the bank's English verbal expression guidelines and keep all content aligned with brand positioning, tone of voice and communication standards.
• Draft, review and edit English copy to ensure linguistic accuracy and a premium standard of expression, minimising errors and improving first-time approval rates.
• Use AI tools responsibly to support content creation, proofreading, editing and research, keeping AI-assisted content accurate and aligned with brand guidelines.
• Continuously develop knowledge of brand strategy, verbal expression and English content best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in English Language, English Literature, Translation, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in English content writing, translation, copywriting or editorial is preferred; experience in financial services, corporate communications or marketing is an advantage but not essential.
• Experience with bilingual (English/English) content is preferred.

Required skills

• Excellent command of written English, including grammar and spelling, and the ability to write clear, concise content.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT and the ability to use them for content creation and proofreading.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
