About the role

The British International School Abu Dhabi seeks an enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver the UK National Curriculum, IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. You will inspire learners of all ages and abilities, uphold high academic standards, and foster strong partnerships with parents.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging English lessons across primary and secondary phases.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement and support students to reach their potential.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with parents to maximise student progress.
• Contribute actively to extra‑curricular activities and the wider school community.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share expertise and adapt quickly to a fast‑paced international environment.

Required profile

• Passionate about teaching with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Strong experience of the UK National Curriculum; experience in international education is an advantage.
• Excellent communicator who works well with students, parents and staff.
• Flexible, open‑minded and able to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural setting.
• Positive mindset and dedication to providing high‑quality pastoral care.
