Executive Director, Financial & Investment Research

About the role

The Executive Director, Financial & Investment Research will lead fundamental, macro‑economic and market analysis across equity and fixed‑income markets for First Abu Dhabi Global Private Bank. This senior position supports portfolio construction, investment recommendations and contributes to investment committee discussions, while upholding rigorous analytical standards and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct macro‑economic, sector and company research, producing country reports, market analyses and investment views for equity and fixed‑income assets.
• Prepare and present investment research, market updates and recommendations to investment committees and other stakeholder forums.
• Develop and maintain research documentation, investment notes, market commentaries and presentations in line with internal governance requirements.
• Monitor market developments, geopolitical events and emerging risks, communicating insights to support decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with CMA/SCA accreditation, internal policies and regulatory standards, supporting audits and inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a diploma with eight years of experience, or three years of experience plus a professional designation such as CFA, ACCA, CIP or CQF.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct financial statement analysis, valuation and industry trend assessment.
• Maintain required CMA/SCA accreditation and meet ongoing competency requirements throughout employment.
